I grew up in the small town of Hutchinson, MN, and graduated from Hutchinson High School. I attended the University of Saint Thomas in Saint Paul and graduated in 2017 with a BA in History and Secondary Education. 

 

My experience with Saint Paul Public Schools began when I student taught at Johnson Sr. High in 2017. I went on to teach summer school for SPPS and worked as a substitute teacher for two years. Now I teach Social Studies at  Gordon Parks.

 

1. I live in the West Seventh neighborhood in Saint Paul and have two cats who I named after the Roosevelts: Franklin and Eleanor. 
2. In college, I studied abroad in Croatia, where I worked with archaeologists to excavate ancient ruins, and in New Zealand, where I studied Maori culture and history (and went sky diving!).
