Bonjour! Bienvenue en 5ème!

My name is LeQuyen Tran and I am so excited to be your child's 5th grade teacher this year.  I have been teaching in the Saint Paul Public Schools for over 25 years. I have a Master's degree in Elementary Education and another one in Gifted and Talented Education from the University of Saint Thomas.

My hobbies include reading and craft making, like origami, quilting and knitting/crochet. I love to travel too!

I grew up in Saigon, Vietnam, where I completed my education in a French immersion setting. After living in Grenoble, France for a few years, I moved to Honolulu, Hawaii, then settled down in Minnesota. But my family lives in France and Switzerland, so I travel there a lot.

I am married. I have two children and two grandchildren. 

I intend to challenge every child to reach their potential, and address my students' different talents to prepare them for Middle School.
I can't wait to meet all my new students and their families and friends!
