Welcome to Physical Education

 Susan Farinacci has been teaching at Riverview School since 1994. Susan graduated from Concordia St. Paul with a BA in Elementary Education, K -12 Physical Education and a Coaching License.

 In her spare time Susan enjoys hanging out with her family, her husband and two boys. One is in 9th grade and the other is in 10th grade. She enjoys going to watch them play Soccer and Baseball and being involved in Scouting with them.  She enjoys taking her dog Faith on long walks. During her quiet time she enjoys sitting down and reading a good book or just watching a movie.

Susan enjoys going for bike rides, playing golf, fishing and spending time up north in the summer.  In the winter, Susan enjoys cross-country and downhill skiing. Susan also enjoys working out at the gym, rock climbing, going for a run, rollerblading or a long hike.  You could say, Susan enjoys anything that involves being active and being outside.

Susan lives in North Saint Paul where she grew up. She lives in her family home with her husband, two boys and their dog.

In Susans gym classes, all students are expected to have tennis shoes everyday. In class all students are expected to run, stretch, do sit-ups and push-ups everyday.  Students also play a variety of different sports and work on different skills depending on which unit they are in. 

Some of the skills the students in Kindergarten through 2nd grade work on during the school year are: skipping, galloping, throwing, catching, tagging, working with other classmates, jump roping, cup stacking, and kicking.

Some of the skills the students in 3rd through 5th grade work on during the school year are:  skills needed for the sports of soccer, football, volleyball, badminton, floor hockey, cup stacking and kickball.
