Hello fellow first graders...

        My name is Ada Kristel Perez Rios, I come from a beautiful island called Puerto Rico.  I decided to move to Minnesota to do what I love most, be a teacher.  I moved with my husband Jose Alberto and my beautiful chihuahua Penelope.  Back home we don't have snow but honestly I love it here.  The weather is very different from home but I am getting used to it.  

        I decided to become a teacher beside that  I love kids, because I want them to improve their learning skills and be successful.  I've been teaching for around 6 years now and every year that pass I learn new things.  In my class your child will learn in a very fun and active way.  I am constantly looking for ideas and ways  to help your child improve their knowledge. I love communicating with parents to help the child in the areas they are developing and need more help to bring them to success. 

    In the first grade DI program, we work with different subjects inside the classroom that are all in Spanish language such as: 

• Math     ** After the whole group disscussion, your child will work in the centers areas:

                                * teacher time

                                * games

                               * independent time

                               * computer

                               * manipulative                     

• Writer's workshop
• Reader's workshop     ** After the whole group disscussion, your child will work in the centers areas:

          Saludos, mi nombre es Ada Kristel Perez Rios y nací en una hermosa isla llamada Puerto Rico.  Decidí mudarme a Minnesota para hacer lo mas que me gusta, educar.  Me mudé junto con mi esposo José Alberto y mi hermosa chihuahua Penelope.  En Puerto Rico no llega la nieve pero hasta ahora me gusta. El clima tambien es diferente, en Puerto Rico el clima es cálido y aqui es frio pero honestamente me he acoplado. 

          Decidí ser maestra aparte de que me encanta los niños, porque quiero que mejoren sus destreazas de aprendizaje y que sean exitoso.  Como maestra llevo casi 6 años educando y cada año que pasa aprendo cosas nuevas.  En mi salón de clase su hija/hijo aprenderá en una manera activa y divertida.  Estoy constantemente buscando nuevas maneras de como ayudar a mis estudiantes a que mejoren en su aprendizaje.  Me encanta comunicarme con los padres para poder ayudar a sus hijos/hijas  en las areas que necesitan mas ayuda para que se desarrollen exitosamente.   

     En primer grado su hijo/hija trabajará en diferentes materias en español como:

• Matemática     ** luego de la discusión grupal, se trabaja en los centros:

• Taller de escritura
