Mr. Koestler

Hello,

My name is Zach Koestler, and I have the incredible privilege of being a Pre-K teacher in the Saint Paul Public Schools system. Early childhood education is not just a profession for me; it's a lifelong passion that has allowed me to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young learners and their families. After finishing my Associate of Arts degree at Inver Hills Community College, I got a job at Sandcastle Child care in Saint Paul and found a passion for working in early childhood. I pursued my dream of becoming an early childhood educator by attending Normandale Community College and MSU-Mankato, where I earned a Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, which was made up of course work in humanities education, STEAM education and Early Childhood Care. The academic rigor and hands-on experiences during my college years deepened my understanding of child development, curriculum design, and effective teaching strategies.

Over the past six years, I've had the opportunity to work with countless young minds, helping them develop socially, emotionally, and academically. My classroom is a vibrant and nurturing environment where children feel safe, supported, and eager to learn. I've had the privilege of witnessing their first steps towards literacy, numeracy, and critical thinking, and it fills my heart with joy to see them flourish. One of the most rewarding aspects of my career has been the relationships I've built with students and their families. Communication and collaboration with parents and guardians are integral to a child's success, and I take pride in fostering these partnerships. Together, we create an environment that supports each child's unique needs and celebrates their individuality. I firmly believe that teaching is a lifelong journey of growth and development. I am dedicated to staying current with the latest research and best practices in early childhood education, continually seeking opportunities for professional development and further enhancing my skills as a teacher.

In my role as a Pre-K teacher in Saint Paul Public Schools, I have found my purpose, and each day brings new inspiration and fulfillment. Early childhood education is not just my job; it's my calling. I am excited about continuing my journey, nurturing the young minds of Saint Paul, and making a lasting impact on the future of our community.
