Ms. Corbin

Hello! I am Ms. Corbin and I am super excited to be teaching 7th grade ELA Workshop and learning with you.

I recently just moved to Saint Paul from Seattle, WA, and am adjusting to a new city and new school. I must admit… I miss the mountains, but it’s beautiful here! I have been teaching middle school for 8 years in Aurora, Colorado (where I grew up) and Seattle, WA (where I spent the last 6 years). In my free time, I love to hike, cook, read books, watch TV, and hang out with our pets-- Murphy the dog and Boots the cat. I used to journal a lot, and would like to get back into doing that regularly.

We all know the times are tense and challenging us in lots of ways. Being aware, open-minded, and courageous will be so important in all of the work we do in the literacy workshop. My personal goal, as your teacher, is to do what is best for us, by listening and growing a community of radical readers and passionate writers.

Let’s do this!
