Elementary Teachers New to Distance Learning
-
During the covid-19 event, we are particularly concerned with helping elementary teachers access the internet. This is due to the fact that this may be the first time they have had to access the internet from home for teaching.WiFi can be accessed through existing home connections or connecting to Comcast WiFi hotspots (free to everyone for up to 60 days).Unfortunatly, staff iPads cannot connect to the SPPS T-Mobile Hotspots that can be checked out by parents. The staff iPads lack a "policy" in their programming that allows for them to connect. This policy exists only on the student iPads.Distance learning plans will require the full cooperation of students, staff and families to make this instruction meaningful and in compliance with the expectations of Minnesota education standards.
