Hello, Families! 

My name is Kate Knight-De León (students call me Ms. Kate). I am a licensed school counselor at Cherokee Heights Elementary. 

As an elementary school counselor, I work with all PreK-5th grade students by giving weekly classroom lessons in the areas of social emotional learning, building academic and classroom readiness skills, and exploring future career interests. Additionally, I provide short-term small group and invidiual services, as needed. 

I love the community at Cherokee Heights. The warm, welcoming, and student-centered atmosphere is wonderful. 

Outside of school, I love to play and read story books with my young daughter and spend time with my husband. I am an avid cook and enjoy trying new recipes. I am always planning the next renovation project in my 100+ year old Saint Paul home.
