Ms. Proescholdt

My name is Carlye Proescholdt (pronounced PRESH-HOLT) and I am one of the Kindergarten teachers here at Frost Lake Elementary. I have been teaching for St. Paul Public Schools since 2018, first in Pre-K and now in Kindergarten. I graduated from St. Olaf College with dual BA degrees in history and women's studies. I quickly realized teaching little people was my passion so I went back to school to pursue my master’s degree and teaching licenses (K-6 and Pre-Primary) from Concordia University in St. Paul.

I believe that positive early experiences at school set children up for a lifetime of success in education and in their lives. I work to provide each and every scholar with high-quality school experiences during their year in Kindergarten. My greatest hope is that your child feels loved and challenged at school and that they feel a sense of belonging with their school family.

When I’m not at school, you can find me exploring outside with friends and family—I love to kayak, canoe, hike, swim, camp, play volleyball, and go for walks with my dog, Ayla.

I am so honored to be your child’s teacher this year at Frost Lake and I look forward to meeting each family as we work together to support your scholar and discover their unique gifts!

Please feel free to reach out via email (carlye.proescholdt@spps.org) or phone (651.744.8376) if you’d like to connect with me. Thank you for sharing your child with me!!
