Dance at Creative Arts allows students to learn the foundational styles of dance while giving them opportunity to learn styles that push them beyond their comfort zone to learn new things. Students learn how to work with both choreography and improvisation, performing solos and in both small and large groups.

Creative Arts’ dance program speaks to the social environment in which students live, with a modern and fresh philosophy that addresses issues within society, while teaching students the historical and cultural context of each dance, as well as the purpose and origins of dance and how these fit into modern culture.

Vision: The CASS Dance Program is a place where dancers of different backgrounds and experiences create meaning together, lift one another up, and drive their art into the world.

Mission: The CASS Dance Program challenges societal values by developing courageous student voice to break stereotypes. Our students redefine the value and meaning of dance in order to reunite the community through movement.
