Welcome to this new school year!  My name is Brett Asleson and I am proud to be the Assistant Principal at ESTEM Middle School.

I hold a bachelor’s degree in teaching from Minnesota State University Moorhead, a Masters in Literacy from Saint Mary’s University in Minneapolis, and an Educational Specialist and K-12 Principal’s License from Minnesota State University Mankato. My tenure is SPPS began in 2009 with me working in Special Education at Como High School, then working with our multilingual learners at LEAP High School, coaching and leading our new to SPPS staff as a Peer Assistance and Review (PAR) Coach, leading as a Literacy Coach between Humboldt and Washington High Schools, and most recently as the Assistant Principal of Benjamin E. Mays IB World School.
