Arts & Entrepreneurship Pathway - Classes

  • Personal Finance:  

    Personal Finance is a one-semester course designed to give you the tools and terminology to effectively manage your financial resources.  Topics of interest will include postsecondary education and career exploration, budgets, checking and savings accounts, investments, credit, housing, taxes, and insurance.  You will learn through connecting with professionals in the field,  presentations, interactive group discussions, and projects. 

    Marketing:

    Marketing is a one-semester course designed to introduce you to the field’s multiple components of market.  You will study market segmentations, influence on consumers and business, product development, pricing, location, and promotion.  Significant time will be devoted to digital / social media marketing. You will learn through connecting with professionals in the field, field trips, presentations, interactive group discussion, and projects.

    Entrepreneurship:

    Entrepreneurship is a one-semester course designed to introduce you to the basics of planning and launching your own successful business. Integration of finance, marketing, business management, legal and economic environments will be developed throughout projects and other activities in this course. Working to develop a business plan that includes structuring the business, financing the organization, and managing information, operations, marketing, and human resources will be a focus of the course.
