• Frost Lake SCIP Summary

     

    Social-Emotional Learning

    Universal Goal (all students): 100% of all students will use strategies from the Zones of Regulation Lessons to help them regulate their emotions:
    1) Identify their feelings and the zone that represents them.
    2) Use tools to help them regulate their emotions.
    3) Name which behaviors are expected or unexpected.
    4) Name the size of their problem.
    The data will be collected using The Zones of Regulation Implementation Checklist that teachers will use to self-assess implementation in the Fall and again in the Spring.

    Complementary goal:
    The percentage of new students to Frost Lake being able to 1) name feelings and 2) use tools to self-regulate will increase from ...% to ...% as measured by student surveys and Zones of Regulation Walk Through Indicators.

    Implementation Target:

    100% of educators will implement SEL using the Zones of Regulation. SEL will be integrated with Academic Instruction once the Zones of Regulation are taught explicitly. The SPPS SEL Practice Profile will measure explicit teaching and integration as measured by walkthrough data three times a year by May 27, 2022.

     

    Literacy

    Universal Goal (all students):
    The percentage of all students scoring proficient or higher in reading will increase from 26% to 31% as measured by the MCA III/MTAS Reading Assessment administered in April/May 2022.

     

    Complementary goal:

    The percentage of all K-2 students scoring proficient or higher in reading will increase from 30% to 50% by as measured by the FAST administered in April/May 2022.

     

    Implementation Target:

    100% of educators will implement Grouping from the SPPS Literacy Organization for Guided Reading Practice profile as measured by PLC data and WINN Teacher schedules by November 19, 2021.

     

     

     Math

    Universal Goal (all students):

    The percentage of all students scoring proficient or higher in Math will increase from 25% to 30% by Spring 2022 as measured by the MCAIII Math Assessment administered April 2022.

     

    Complementary goal:

    The percentage of all 3-5 students scoring proficient or higher in math will increase from 25% to 50% as measured by the FAST administered in April/May 2022. 

    Implementation Target:

    100% of educators will implement Math Review from the SPPS Math Review Practice Profile as measured by coaching data, walkthroughs by May 27, 2022.
