Hello and welcome!  I have been teaching for 23 years and enjoy working with children to help them succeed academically and socially.  I began working in St. Paul Public Schools in the year 2000 and began teaching at Frost Lake in the year 2003.  I received my Elementary Education degree from St. Catherine University and am currently studying to obtain my Kindergarten - 12th grade Reading Licensure at the University of St. Thomas.

When I am not at school I enjoy reading, playing games with my family, and watching TV.  I am married to Dan Gerten and we have 3 children; Grace (19), Audrey (14), and Charlie (7).  I live with my family and our dog Maggie, in South St. Paul.

I look forward to continuing working with Frost Lake children this year! It is a privilege to teach at Frost Lake and I am thrilled to be part of this wonderful school.
