    Student Learning Outcomes:

    Schoolwide Goal:


    Universal Goal (all students):

    2021-22 MCAS will utilize arts integration and education with a focus on cultural relevance and social emotional learning to increase student engagement by 20% as measured by growth from Fall, Winter, and Spring walkthrough data, and ODR (Office Discipline Referral) data.

    Complementary goal (based on disaggregated factor(s) & local/district assessment):

    100% of K-5th Grade Classroom and EL teachers will implement language goals per SPPS Language Up practice profile as measured by pre and post writing prompts in three rotational cycles by May 30, 2022.

    Mathematics Goal:

    Universal Goal (all students):

    The percentage of all students scoring proficient or higher in mathematics will increase from 13.1% to 35% as measured by the MCA III/MTAS Math Assessment administered in April/May 2022.

    Complementary goal (based on disaggregated factor(s) & local/district assessment):

    100% of K-5 students will demonstrate adequate to aggressive growth in grade level benchmark expectations toward proficiency as measured and monitored by the Quarterly Benchmark Assessments and monthly progress monitoring administered throughout 2021-2022 school year..

    Any historical gaps in demonstrating growth by student demographics (including racial demographic groups, students with IEPs, multilingual learners, or students who receive free and reduced lunch) will be reduced by 80%.

    Reading Goal:

    Universal Goal (all students):

    The percentage of all students scoring proficient or higher in reading will increase from 17.2% to 37.2% by as measured by the MCA III/MTAS Reading Assessment administered in April/May 2022.

    Complementary goal (based on disaggregated factor(s) & local/district assessment): 100% of K-5 students will meet typical or aggressive growth in their composite scores as measured and incrementally monitored by fall, winter, and spring FAST early Reading assessments in Grade K and the FAST aReading assessment in Grades 1-5 administered by May 2022.


    Any historical gaps in meeting typical or aggressive growth by student demographics (including racial demographic groups, students with IEPs, multilingual learners, or students who receive free and reduced lunch) will be reduced by 80%.

    100% of educators will implement culturally relevant arts and academic integrations to increase student engagement levels as measured by academic data (FAST, Q math assessments, progress monitoring), ODR (office discipline referrals), and arts education grade-level student rubrics by June 2022.

    100% of classroom educators in Kindergarten-5th will implement data driven differentiated small group student work and rigorous partnership tasks, in part two of the mathematics workshop model per SPPS Practice Profile, as measured by pre and post quarterly assessments in bi-monthly cycles by June 2022.




    3: Literacy Instruction

    100% of classroom educators in K-5th will implement two daily guided reading groups utilizing core components (book intro, reading/discussing text, teaching for strategies, word work) per SPPS Practice Profile as measured by fall, winter, spring FAST data and monthly progress monitoring by June, 2022.
