Hello!

My name is Julia Bresnahan (formerly Ms. Beckmann) and I am one of the kindergarten teachers at Mississippi Creative Arts! This is my fourth year teaching kindergarten and my second year at MCAS.

I graduated in 2020 from the University of Minnesota- Twin Cities with my Master's in Education and my K-6 teaching license. I love working with kinders because they bring so much joy & curiosity into the classroom. I strive to create a welcoming & compassionate learning environment that encourages all students to explore, wonder, and have fun!

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family & friends, going for walks or hikes, skating (ice skating in the winter, rollerblading in the summer!), doing embroidery crafts, and reading a good book. I also love anything Disney or Pixar, and love to talk about those movies with other fans! I am originally from southern Minnesota and currently live in St. Paul with my husband (we recently got married in January of 2023!)

I am so looking forward to working with and learning from you all- we have such amazing students & families here at MCAS! We're going to have a wonderful year together and I can't wait to meet you!
