John Buck, Former Bridge View Family Member: John Buck and his family donated $800 for the Bridge View playground project in memory of brothers Bob and Tom Buck, who were in the inaugural class at Bridge View School. Bob died Feb. 23, 2014. His brother Tom died in 1991. "We are pleased to make this gift because both Bob and Tom gained a great deal from the teachers and programs at the school. Bridge View made a real difference in their lives," John Buck wrote. During the 1950s and '60s, their parents Wally and Millie Buck were active in the PTA at Crowley School and Bridge View. Their advocacy was instrumental in building Bridge View School. Bob and Tom transferred from Crowley to Bridge View, which was a new cutting-edge school. "It is fitting that this memorial gift help refurbish the place," John Buck wrote. "We are happy that this gift in its small way benefits the current students, staff and parents of Bridge View School."
