Hi!

 

I'm Melanie DeJoode. I've been a high school teacher at Bridge View since the fall of 2010, after receiving my teaching license and Master's degree in special education from the University of Minnesota. I worked as a paraprofessional in Minneapolis while I was going to school. I also have a Bachelor's degree in Botany and worked in the science/plant field for many years before starting my second career in education. 

 

I have 2 young adult children that I love spending lots of time with. I also enjoy reading, gardening, being in nature, taking care of my dog, Lucy, and our 9 guinea pigs!

 

My favorite thing about Bridge View is getting to know the students and watching their progress over the years. This is an amazing place to be and I'm fortunate to be here every day.
