A: I started teaching right after I graduated from college.  In the Fall of 1992, I began teaching sixth grade at a school called Oak Grove Intermediate School in Bloomington, MN.  The year after, I came to St. Paul Public Schools and have worked in this district ever since.  I taught sixth and fourth grade at Daytons Bluff Elementary from 1993-2000.  In 2000-2001, I took a sabbatical to help kick-start a charter school called HOPE Community Academy.  After that, I returned to St. Paul and worked at Eastern Heights and Farnsworth Aerospace Elementary.  My longest tenure was with Farnsworth, where I was there for 18 years.  I accepted the computer science position at Frost Lake Elementary starting the 2019-2020 school year.
