High school students have the opportunity to earn high school and college credits simultaneously.  Although this is an option for many students, please consider the level of committment and amount of time, effort, and work needed in each course.  Students participating in any of the dual credit program options are expected to meet the rigor and higher standards of quality work.  Students are expected to perform at the same level as college students.   Students who do not earn a satisfactory grade in the course(s) may be at risk for being credit deficient for graduation.  Questions and concerns about any of the dual credit options or qualifications should be directed to your counselor.  Please check out each of the dual credit options offered at Creative Arts Secondary School  based on your interests and needs.

Advanced Placement (AP) - Students take a rigorous course in a subject at Creative Arts Secondary School which is similar in coursework to college.  At the end of the school year, participants will take the AP Exam to demonstrate their knowledge and comprehension of the coursework.  There is a fee to take the AP Exam. Depending on the test score and postsecondary institution, students may earn college credit. 

Postsecondary Enrollment Options (PSEO) - Students in 10th - 12 grade can take a college course at a participating postsecondary institution campus. Students must apply to a participating postsecondary institution and be accepted to participate in this program.   

Gateway to College - This is an alternative option to students who do not get accepted into PSEO.  Student will take college courses at St. Paul College.
