Johnson Senior High School and Washington Technology Magnet both advanced to the Minnesota State High School League Badminton Championship match on Wednesday, May 18, with Johnson earning a record 12th state title in an epic match. Congratulations to both teams—along with Highland Park's badminton team which made the state semifinals. Johnson has won seven state badminton championships since 2015, and 12 overall since the state began holding a state tournament in 1996.
