Health Assessment and Wellness Initiative to Sunset in 2021 for Some Employees

Staff members moving to the Public Employees Insurance Program (PEIP) beginning on January 1, 2021, will no longer be eligible to earn an incentive for 2021, but are still able to participate in the Wellness Initiative through 2020.

The Choose Well, Live Well program, better known as the Wellness Initiative, has activities and resources to support you throughout the year. Currently employees completing the Wellness Initiative requirements earn an incentive of reduced insurance out of pocket deductible costs.

That incentive will be going away for the following employees:

  • Educational Assistants
  • Teachers
  • Teaching Assistants
  • School and Community Service Professionals

Saint Paul Public Schools encourages all employees to continue to use the resources available to you through the end of the plan year.

The SPPS Choose Well, Live Well program promotes a healthful and positive work environment and fosters a culture that supports healthful decisions for all employees through programs, courses, presentations and resources.

You can find more information about the Wellness Initiatives on the website at, www.spps.org/districtwellness.
