When she's not teaching physical education at Randolph Heights Elementary, Audra Richards is busy playing professional hockey. Richards plays forward for the Minnesota Whitecaps, and the NWHL team faced off in the 2021 Isobel Cup this weekend. In Friday's semifinal against the Connecticut Whale, Richards scored a hat trick (three goals) and helped propel the Whitecaps to a 7-0 victory.
The team faced the Boston Pride in the final game on Saturday night, with Boston defeating Minnesota 4-3 to take home the cup.
Congratulations to Ms. Richards for a great season, and for being a wonderful role model for her SPPS students.
