Meal Prices for 2019-20 School Year

Meal prices have increased for the 2019-20 school year.

The meal price increases were approved in May by the Board of Education.  The increase is required by the Healthy Hunger Free Kids Act.  Each year SPPS is required to review our paid lunches to ensure we meet the USDA guidelines.

SPPS continues to provide breakfast at no cost to all students.  Lunch will be provided at not cost to all students in 39 schools under USDA meal provisions.

In addition, USDA requires that SPPS’s Unpaid Meal Charge Policy 534.00 be shared annually with all staff members.  The policy covers:

  • Payment of meals
  • Free/Reduced price lunch applications
  • Notification of negative balances and responses
  • Communication of policy
