The medical rates shown below do not include the district contribution, which is specific to your bargaining unit contractAnyone hired after July 1, 2019 will receive the enhanced benefit for calendar year deductibles and out-of-pocket maximums in 2020.

Smartcare Network
The Smartcare Plan offers a lower premium by utilizing a smaller alternative network compared to the open access network plans. You’ll have access to four SmartCare Clinics for primary care and the HealthPartners and Park Nicollet providers and facilities for additional care. SmartCare clinics offer phone, video or in-person care visits and have expanded hours to provide you with additional flexibility to get the care you need when you need it.

Plan Design Changes
There will be no changes to the medical plan design for 2020. As a reminder, the Distinctions plan is now called the Copay plan. This plan will no longer have different benefit levels (e.g. Tier 1, Tier 2). All care provided by in-network doctors and facilities will be at one low cost. 


Dental HealthPartners
There will be no plan design changes to the HealthPartners dental plan coverage for 2020.

Premiums for 2020:

Employee: $34.91

Family: $113.48

Note: Depending on your bargaining contract, the District may pay a portion of these premiums.

 


Vision EyeMed

EyeMed premiums for 2020:

Employee: $7.60

Employee + 1: $14.43

Family: $21.20

Note: Vision exams are not covered by this benefit. The medical plans offered by SPPS include vision exam coverage.
