At Washington Technology Magnet School, students are exposed to college and career opportunities while in high school. Jinci Lu, Class of 2016, participated in the Biomedical Pathway while at Washington and took advanced classes including Project Lead the Way Biomedical Science, College in the Schools Anatomy and Physiology, and Medical Terminology. After graduating from Macalester College, Jinci entered the University of Minnesota Medical School in the fall of 2020, where she is excited to use her medical training to acquire the knowledge and skills to serve a diverse patient population. 

Rose Say, Class of 2019, participated in the Education Pathway at Washington. She was a part of the University of Minnesota’s College in the Schools program, Exploring the Teaching Profession, where she completed an internship helping in classrooms. This inspired Rose to be a teacher. She just completed her two-year degree at Dougherty College and was selected to receive a full tuition scholarship to complete her degree at St. Thomas. "Receiving this scholarship means I don’t have to worry about money for school, and I can pursue my goal of becoming an elementary teacher," Say said.
