Celebrate the launch of Kao Kalia Yang's first children's book. Kao Kalia Yang is a Hmong American award-winning author. She grew up in Saint Paul, attended Saint Paul Public Schools, and currently lives in Minnesota with her family.

A Map Into The World is her first children’s book, telling "the heartfelt story of a young Hmong girl seeking beauty and connection in a busy world."

This community celebration of Kao Kalia Yang will take place at Nokomis North Campus on Friday, October 11 from 5-6:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be provided, and food for purchase will be available from local food trucks.

This is a collaborative event between the Office of Multilingual Learning (MLL) and the Nokomis Community (North and South).
