Three Saint Paul Educators Named Apple Distinguished Educators

Amanda Madsen, SRCL coach; Kelly Jenson, 5th grade teacher at Frost Lake; and Chris Turnbull from the Personalized Learning Department in the Office of Teaching and Learning were selected as Apple Distinguished Educators (ADE) last spring and attended the Apple Distinguished Educator Institute in Washington, DC, in July. Jesse Buetow, 5th grade teacher at Randolph Heights, was selected as an ADE in 2017.

Apple created the Apple Distinguished Educator program to recognize K-12 and higher education pioneers who are using Apple technology to transform teaching and learning by rethinking what’s possible with iPad and Mac to make learning deeply personal for every student. More information about the program and the next application window in 2021 is available here.
