Hello Families!

Welcome to Room 2201! I am Ellen Harrmann.

This is my 3rd year as a teacher at JJ Hill Montessori. I worked in a small private Montessori school for 18 years before working as a teacher here in SPPS. 

I am passionate about Montessori education and love following the individual pace and unique interests of every child. I believe the most important part of my job is building community and relationships between the children and partnering with their families to help aid in their development. I look forward to working with you in your child’s educational journey. I strongly support public Montessori and bringing Montessori education to all children. I am also committed to promoting social justice, anti-racism, and anti-bias education in our schools and classrooms. 

I have 4 children who have all attended or are currently attending JJ Hill Montessori.  My oldest child is entering 10^th grade and my son is entering 7^th grade. I have two daughters who are in 5^th and 3^rd grade here at JJ Hill. We also have a pet cat named Moon, a pet turtle named Love Turtle, and a pet bunny named Yoda. In my free time I love sewing, relaxing and doing Lego projects with my family.
