Early Childhood Hub West Supervisor

My name is Deanna Spanjers, and I am excited to join the Early Childhood Hubs team as a supervisor at Hub West.

I started working in SPPS in 2009 as a PBIS Specialist, and since then, I’ve had the opportunity to work across the district as a Content Coach, School Improvement Specialist, and Administrative Intern.  My background is in school psychology, and I am passionate about creating systems to support positive behavior, using data to make decisions, and building strong relationships with students, families, and staff.  In this role, I am looking forward to the opportunity to collaborate across multiple departments and programs to meet the needs of our students and families at the Hubs.

Early Childhood Hub East Supervisor

My journey with SPPS started in 2013 as a Social Studies French Immersion teacher and a World Language teacher at Hidden River Middle School. Prior to my current position, I worked with the Office of College and Career Readiness (OCCR) developing the Career Curriculum Integration to support the District’s Pathways initiative and the SPPS Achieves Strategic Plan.

I was born and raised in Algiers, Algeria where I earned a BA in French. I also lived for many years in Paris, France before calling Minnesota home in 2010. I attended Saint Cloud State University where I completed a MA in TESL and a K-12 Administrative license. 

I am  thrilled to be working with the dedicated staff of the Early Childhood hubs, and look forward to serving students and families.
