Summer School

  • Saint Paul Public Schools Information for Summer Term 2021

    Session 1:  June 21 – July 15, 2021
    Session 2:  July 19– August 12, 2021

Are you Registered for Summer Learning?
If you know or think you are missing credits for graduation, you are probably signed up for summer school.

We encourage our Central students to take advantage of the opportunity in summer to make up credits needed for graduation now instead of waiting for “a better time.”

If a student earned NP (no pass) this school year in a class needed for graduation, they were automatically enrolled in summer school. Central High School counselors reviewed graduation progress and added courses that students need due to credit deficiencies in previous school years.

Summer school is run by the SPPS District not by Central staff and counselors. Students and families will receive detailed information from SPPS Summer Learning Programs and not Central counselors including schedules, locations, transportation and other logistics.

    • Attendance in summer learning is expected and required to receive credit.
    • Students should expect to do school work OUTSIDE of the summer school day.

Bus information for students who attend summer learning:

    • Will be sent to families by SPPS Transportation Department later in June.
    • If a student does not receive bus info, it is recommended they to go to the summer school site on the first day of school.
    • Transportation questions can be answered for students and parents on the first day of summer school.
