Our Principal

I am Cherise Ayers, and I could not be prouder to be the principal of THE Central High School! I am a second-generation Central alum and a Central parent. I have spent my 20-year career in education serving studentsacross metropolitan Atlanta and the Twin Cities as both a middle and high school teacher, Dean of Students, assistant principal, district-wide equity supervisor, and principal. In SPPS I have served at Hazel Park Preparatory Academy, Maxfield Elementary, and Global Arts+ Upper Campus. I believe in the transformational power of student voice and community engagement. I look forward to working with all invested stakeholders to move Central onward.
