"Speaking well is a skill everyone must learn."

"Speaking well takes practice and everyone can improve their speaking skills."

The Speech Team is govern by the Minnesota State High School League (MN State High School Speech Rules) and should be considered a sport and not a club. You are welcome to practice with us on Wednesday after school from November through April. Our tournaments are Saturdays (except the Section Tournament is Wednesday, March 16, 2016).

To see improvement in speaking skills and competition scores, you must practice at least once a week with your coach (Ms. Myers or Kim) and everyday on your own. You should also plan to compete in 6-8 tournaments between January and March.

Please read the Speech Team Handbook and return the permission slip to Ms Myers (Room 2405). Feel free to ask questions of speech team members and your coaches.
