IB Scholar with Distinction

  • IB Scholar with Distinction is a program developed at Central to provide opportunities for students who do not want to pursue the full IB Diploma, but are interested in participating in key parts of the IB Core. To qualify as an IB Scholar with Distinction, a student must do the following:

    - Take IB Exams in at least three different subject areas. Sometimes an exam will require two years of study; this still counts as a single subject area. Students do not need to achieve a certain score total to qualify as an IB Scholar with Distinction

    - Complete both years of IB DP Theory of Knowledge successfully

    - Complete and submit an IB Extended Essay

IB Scholar with Distinction is a Central-created and managed program, not a formal course of study established by International Baccalaureate. It is not recognized by IB.
