Benefit #3: Possible College Credit

  • Students in an IB Diploma Program course sequence receive a score of 1 through 7 based on their performance on in-class work and on exams taken in May. Depending on how well one does on these assessments, many colleges and universities will offer college credit or advanced standing for a qualifying score in particular subjects. These credit opportunities are open to all students who take IB DP classes

Students who complete the full IB Diploma can sometimes also receive additional credit for their full Diploma score total, with selected individual colleges and universities offering up to a full year of credit to IB DP students
