Mrs. Giselle Spears (Grade 3 Teacher)

Greetings!!! My name is Giselle Spears. I joined St. Paul Public Schools in 1996 and have had the pleasure of teaching at Crossroads since the fall of 2012. My mom and grandmother were both educators. Teaching is in my blood. I completed both my Masters and English as a Second Language education at the University of St. Thomas...Go Tommies! I have taught third, first and second grades during my tenure as an educator.

I am currently teaching Third Grade on the Science side of Crossroads. Students will have the opportunity to meet in large groups, small groups and also work independently. We are using Seesaw as our learning platform. Using technology often improves engagement, knowledge retention and encourages individual learning.

During my personal time I enjoy reading, singing, and taking walks. When possible, I enjoy traveling with my husband, visiting family, friends and our daughter (an SPPS alum) who lives in the great northwest. Most of those visits are now Zoom or Facetime calls!

You are your child's first teacher. Staying connected is so important. Please contact me with questions, concerns and/or additional information you have that will help support your child in their learning. The best way to reach me is by email or  Seesaw message, once you connect with our class.

I am excited and encouraged as this continues to be a year of patience, adapting, growing and lots of Learning!
