Hello!  Welcome to third grade!  My name is Phanida Thephrasouvanh and I am so delighted to be your child's teacher this year.  This is my first year at Randolph Heights. I taught third and first grade at Captiol Hill Magnet for the past 23 years.  I have been teaching third graders for the past 13 years because it is truly a MAGICAL year!  

I strive to provide a nurturing and safe learning environment for all learners.  We will practice social-emotional skills through MindUp, Responsive Classroom and Yoga Calm to build empathy, independence, perseverance and self-efficacy.  

A little about me- I am married, my husband is Mike, we have three amazing teenagers.  Liam,18 is working on a mechanical engineering degree, Olivia, 15 is a sophomore at Roseville High School, and Lucas, 14 is a freshman at Roseville High School.  We have a Russian Blue cat name Ginger.  We also have six backyard chickens (Rose the Roo, Beatrice, Wren, Hazel, Lucy, Betty). 

I love spending time with my family at the lake, traveling and gardening.  When I have a moment of free time I enjoy sewing, knitting, collecting rocks, painting, and reading.

My favorites are: beets, curry, Thai food, chai, matcha tea, house plants- especially cactus, all shades of green, 80s music, clogs, crystals and vintage fabric.

I look forward to meeting and getting to know all of you.  Third graders, I know we will have a joyful year of learning together!
