Hello Frost Lake Families!

My name is Emily Bedford and this year I will be primarily teaching in our program for students with Emotional Behavior Disorders! This will be my ninth year teaching at Frost Lake. I previously taught 1st grade and 2nd grade at Frost. 

I graduated from the University of Wisconsin Madison with a degree in Elementary Education and a minor in English. Go Badgers! I received my Master's Degree in Special Education from Concordia University in St. Paul. I am passionate about tapping into students' interests to make learning fun, engaging, and relevant. My goal is for students to become independent, develop strong social skills, make progress towards meeting their IEP goals and objectives, while developing a deep love of learning. 

In my free time, I love to explore St. Paul and Minneapolis, golf, kayak, paddle board, spend time with friends and family, and find new coffee shops to explore! I’m sure your students will have many stories of how they raced to find my lost cups of coffee, as the year continues!
