The title of this lesson was "catch an attitude" and had a quote "Yourattitude determines you altitude." This quotes tied in with thefollowing activities. On one of the activities, the leadersbrainstormed words that describe what good and bad attitudes look likeand feel like.
Next, the WEB leaders showed the seventhgraders how your attitude determines your altitude. They showed it byfilling one balloon with marbles and one with papers. They then threw the balloons into the air at the same time and observed which one camedown faster. The one with the marbles came down faster. This activityshowed how a bad attitude weighs you down and a good attitude builds you up.
The final activity they did was in a circle. Thestudents were in a circle with the WEB leaders and one after anotherthey copied the same motions that the first person had started. Thisactivity tried to show how attitudes can be contagious.
The seventh graders were asked about these activities and what they learned from them.
"If my friends are happy, I'll be happy."-Zakaria
"My goal is to have a good attitude."-JC
