Dear Nokomis Montessori North Campus Community,

I am writing to inform you of an upcoming change in our leadership team at Nokomis Montessori Magnet School. Principal Jackson has elected to retire - her last day at Nokomis Montessori North Campus is August 24. I’d like to personally thank Ms. Jackson for her service to Nokomis Montessori and Saint Paul Public Schools.

I have decided to appoint Ms. Theresa Thao-Yang to the role of principal at Nokomis Montessori North Campus. Throughout this past summer we were able to interview her for various positions and I am confident in her abilities to immediately contribute to SPPS and Nokomis North.

Principal Thao-Yang is a bilingual educator who most recently was the assistant principal at the Community School of Excellence, while also holding an adjunct professor role at Concordia University. She has also worked in ISD 622 as an elementary teacher and an English Language teacher. Principal Thao-Yang has served as an educator for 15 years.

Principal Thao-Yang looks forward to partnering with families, students, staff and the community to continue the great work at Nokomis Montessori North Campus.
