Hello. My name is Daniel Rumsey and I am happy to be a teacher for my 8th year at Highland Park Senior High School. I am a lifelong resident of St. Paul and I grew up in the Highland Park neighborhood, attending Holy Spirit Grade School and Cretin High School.

     I have a Masters Degree in Special Education from the University of St. Thomas and an Urban Teacher Certificate from Hamline University. I hold licensures in ASD, EBD, and ABS. This is my 20th year working in the district: 5 years as a TA and now my 15th year as a teacher. Prior to working in education, I was a cook, a chef, and a piano technician.

     I live in the Hamline/Midway neighborhood. I am also a musician who appreciates all the arts and I bring art and music into my classroom.
